3 May

In “Feminist Discussions” we discuss feminist theory and historical development of feminist movement within the frame of experiences and concepts determining our feminist word and the patterns of speaking this word. In these sessions, we talk about a great variety of issues from historical backgrounds of periods named as first wave and second wave of feminism to women movement in Ottoman Empire and politics of gender in the period of war and post-war. We discuss about some basic concepts such as gender, body, labour, public and private space and a lot of titles such as gender of citizenship, queer feminism, French feminists and experiences of feminist movement in Turkey. Each discussion is usually accompanied by presentations.
